چکیده

We have been designing an over 1.2 Gbps throughput wireless for next generation WLAN system conform with IEEE802.11TGac’s requirements. It reaches 33 meter propagation distance by using 80MHz of bandiwdth on 5GHz band. 4 × 5 antennas configuration contribute 2nd-order diversity gain and maintain both the high throughput and performance. The Greenfield format preamble was proposed for its high efficiency. Novel phase rotation is employed to lower the PAPR signal. Run test for transmitting 90 frames of 4096×1714 pixels/frame under in-door channel model proves that the proposed system shall be considered for providing an excellent performance mass digital cinema.

Reducing Management Complexity through Pure Exchange Economies: A Prototype System for Next Generation Wireless/Mobile Network Operators

We present the design and implementation of a protocol for supporting Wireless LAN (WLAN) roaming federations. Unlike existing approaches, which incur significant management overhead, our protocol is designed specifically with reducing management complexity in mind. More specifically, the next generation operators that oversee our WLAN federations are not involved in WLAN provisioning decisions...

Cinema-Class Digital Content Distribution via Optical Networks

To transmit and display high quality movies via optical networks, a new Super High Definition (SHD) digital cinema distribution system with the resolution of 8-million pixel is developed. Its image quality is four times of HDTV in resolution, and enables us to replace conventional 35mm films. This system is based on JPEG 2000 coding technology and transmits high quality digital cinema over high...

WIRELESS LANs: THE DECT APPROACH

This paper deals with the design and implementation of a wireless Local Area Network (LAN), called DECT LAN, providing access to a backbone wired Ethernet network. Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard provides only the radio interface between mobile devices and Ethernet via a base station. The DECT protocol is implemented as a combination of hardware and software compone...

Design and Implementation of an All - CMOS 802 . 11 a Wireless LAN Chipset

The tremendous growth in wireless LANs has generated interest in technologies that provide higher data rates and greater system capacities. The IEEE 802.11a standard [1], based on coded OFDM modulation [2], provides nearly five times the data rate and at least 20 times the overall system capacity compared to the incumbent 802.11b wireless LAN systems [3]. This article describes the design chall...

A Pipelined Implementation of OFDM for Wireless LAN

The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a parallel transmission scheme. It has attained the high data rate by splitting the data stream into a number of lowrate sub-carriers (SC) instead of utilizing one carrier at a high rate. OFDM have been around 1960s.This technique is mainly used in digital audio/video broadcast (DAB/DVB), wireless LAN (802.11a and HiperLAN2) and broadband...
